Visiting Hours
Visitors can be good medicine for patients. Family members and friends are generally welcome to visit patients in the hospital from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

Visiting hours for Behavioral Health patients are 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. everyday and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekends.

If you need additional information about visiting a patient, please check with the nurse. In special cases, we work with families and patients to make alternative arrangements in light of a patient’s status or stay.

Visiting Regulations
Following are general guidelines for visitors:

• Visitors are asked to refrain from smoking anywhere in the building or on campus.
• Visitors must wear shirts and shoes.
• No more than two visitors are allowed at the bedside at one time. Visitors in semi-private.
• Rooms should be considerate of both patients.
• People with colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
• Visits should be kept short.
• Visitors should maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise.
• Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when a doctor or
  nurse needs to see the patient.

Parking
Parking for patients and visitors is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All parking at Valley Regional Hospital is free. Patients and visitors are cautioned not to park in reserved designated areas. Please be sure to lock your car. If you need assistance with your vehicle, please inform the nursing supervisor.

Waiting Areas
There are specially-designated lounge areas for visitors on each patient floor and on the main floor in the lobby. Specific waiting areas have been designated for families of patients in the critical care unit, emergency department, and surgery.

Family members and friends can submit electronic greetings to patients in the hospital, please visit our patient greeting service.
