The Medical Staff

Physicians direct your care while you are in the hospital. Your physician, as the coordinator for your treatment program, should be consulted if you have questions about your illness. You may view and search our Medical Staff on-line.

The Nursing Staff
A team of professional registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), nursing assistants (CNAs/LNAs) and paramedics provide 24-hour care. A nurse manager or nursing supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care on each unit. Please feel free to contact your nurse, nurse manager, or nursing supervisor if you have questions or concerns.

Dietitians
The hospital has a full-time registered dietitian to help you meet your nutrition needs during your stay. If you have questions about your meals or diet, call ext. 1827.

Case Managers
Case managers are assigned to each patient care area and are trained to help patients and family members deal with financial, social and emotional problems that relate to illness or hospitalization. Case managers help patients and families deal with long-term illnesses and rehabilitation and are involved in discharge planning.  Case managers can also help individuals identify and take advantage of health and human services in the community

Housekeepers
A member of the housekeeping staff cleans your room daily. If there is a housekeeping problem in your room, please do not hesitate to tell the housekeeper or notify your nurse—it will be taken care of as soon as possible.

Volunteers
Volunteers contribute many hours of service to the hospital. They supplement the services of the hospital staff in many ways and can be identified by their nametags.

Other Personnel
During your stay many other healthcare professionals, including personnel from the Laboratory, Radiology Department and Physical or Occupational Rehabilitation may visit you. In addition, the Valley Regional Hospitalfamily includes many behind-the-scenes workers, who contribute toward your well-being while you are here. If you need assistance, do not hesitate to ask anyone who is wearing a Valley Regional Hospital nametag. To learn more about hospital administration, please visit the About Us section.
