The Medical-Surgical Unit provides comprehensive acute care for pediatric to geriatric patients who are acutely ill, injured, or recovering from diagnostic, therapeutic or surgical procedures. Patients on this 16-bed unit are under the direct care of a physician and provided around-the-clock nursing care.
When necessary, patients can be monitored by medical telemetry equipment which allows the staff to track patients' heart rate,
respiration and other vital signs.
In addition to doctors and nurses, the staff on this comprehensive care unit includes a broad range of specialists who offer
testing and treatment services, such as cardiopulmonary, physical, occupational, or respiratory therapists, social workers, case managers, and dieticians.
