The Critical Care Unit is an intensive medical unit for critically ill adults. It is equipped, staffed, and designed to offer concentrated support for a patient whose medical condition is not yet stable. Advanced equipment monitors, and, in some situations, assists, critical body functions.
This 5-bed unit provides each patient with a private room in a family-focused, medically supervised environment. Nursing and medical care are provided by highly skilled, certified professionals with advanced training in the care of critically ill patients.
Staff works closely with patients and family to understand the effects of illnesses or injuries. Upon admission, case management begins working with patients, families, and providers of care on a plan for continued recovery and rehabilitation following their stay on the Critical Care Unit.
