Inpatient care is short-term, intensive psychiatric treatment for a crisis, to conduct a comprehensive evaluation, or to alter an existing treatment strategy. Our behavioral health unit is a secure, medically supervised setting for adults and older adults. It has a warm, welcoming environment that promotes strength, ability, and empowerment.
Individualized treatment
Treatment can help build your independence, resilience, and confidence. Your specific treatment plan, depending on your needs and goals, may include individual counseling, group therapy, therapeutic activities, occupational therapy, individual or family psychoeducation, and medication management.
Arranging for care
A psychiatrist approves all admissions for behavioral health care. Individuals, family members, or treatment providers may contact us at any time of day, any day of the week to arrange for care. All programs are voluntary. Call (603) 542-1882 for more information.
Insurance coverage for care
Valley Regional Hospital accepts most insurance programs and health plans, including Medicare. Some insurance policies have limits or deductibles for behavioral health services. We can help you determine if there are any limits on your coverage.
