In 2008 Valley Regional Healthcare partnered with Houde Orthopaedics to launch Valley Regional Orthopaedics (VRO), providing care to patients by John P. Houde, MD and Bryan Lantz, PA.

In early 2010, Valley Regional Orthopaedics welcomed Douglass Weiss, MD to its medical staff. Following a graduate degree from Dartmouth Medical School, Dr. Weiss completed his internship at DHMC, a residency at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, and a fellowship at the prestigious Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Colorado.

VRO treats adults and children with a variety of orthopaedic concerns such as Arthritis, arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement, pain, sports medicine, and trauma or fractures.

As an experienced medical team in Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, Dr. John Houde, Dr. Douglass Weiss and Bryan Lantz, PA, take an individual approach to caring for patients. They believe the most important aspects of providing quality care are listening to the needs of patients, thorough testing, patient education, presenting treatment options to the patients and establishing a relationship with patients.

VRO specializes in general orthopaedics and sports medicine, with a purpose to handle each and every patient visit with care and proficiency. They make it a personal responsibility to make sure patients are well informed about their conditions and the multiple choices of treatment.
