Health Clinics and Prevention Screenings
CVHC provides clinics and other health promotion programs throughout Sullivan County including:
- blood pressure clinics
- blood sugar
- cholesterol testing screenings
- flu vaccine clinics
- foot care clinic
- health educational programs
- Alzheimer's & Related Disorders support group
Generally, these clinics are held at senior centers and other community gathering locations throughout the county, such as the Cornish Fair, Newport Apple Festival, Claremont Chili Festival, etc.
On many occasions we have been able to refer the clinic participants to their health care providers in an effort to prevent a potential health problem. As quoted by one of our clinic participants,
"I believe having the clinics that your agency provides is a great asset to the community, and I truly believe you saved me from a possible long term health complication. I hope your agency can continue to provide us with these valuable monitoring sessions."

Blood Pressure, Cholesterol and Blood Sugar Screenings
Connecticut Valley Home Care, a program of Valley Regional Hospital, offers free community screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol. For more information call CVHC at (603) 543-6800.

Foot Care Clinics Connecticut Valley Home Care offers foot care clinics in Newport, Claremont, Charlestown and Cornish. Cost is $15 and requires approximately 20 minutes of time. Prior registration is necessary. To register or for more information, contact CVHC at (603) 543-6800.

Bereavement Support Group
